I am a member of the Sculptors Society of Canada and the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec. My sculptures oppose the strength of metal with the fragility of computer memories. I use steel that I shape, cut, fold, weld and patinate.
I leave room for empty space; like a vacuum, it evokes disappearance, absence and loss. The changing elements and empty spaces in my pieces make reference to the creative forces of our perpetually evolving societies. What is remove from the sculpture, the voluntary emptiness, recalls the ephemeral and fragile nature of things and humains.
My sculptures are parts of public and private collections in Canada, United-States and France.
